Drown Deep will be my debut supernatural horror novel.

The urban Fates and a river demon terrorise Megs after she destabilises Order and Chaos by rescuing a child with the Underworld in its lungs.

Megs is really two people. The smart Megs with the smart mouth, who wants to plan her scientific water project and eat her mother's cooking. And the Megs no one else knows, who walks through one door and finds herself in another space and time.

Now, the supernatural begins bleeding into her everyday life when she starts experiencing disturbing flashbacks. There are waking nightmares of the Urban Fates and very real physical threats from a water-bound demon. They're both adamant they are owed literal Death, and as she’s the one who interfered, Megs’ life, and everything in it, will have to be the trade-off.

Megs is really two people. The African mythology of her storytelling mother, with the inherited traditions of her Caribbean roots, might be the thread that pulls her together enough to fight for survival. That is, before she unravels completely.
